Intrigued, Alex guided Thunder closer to investigate. As they approached, a rustling in the underbrush caught their attention. Out came a massive grizzly bear, its fur a rich brown and its eyes gleaming with curiosity. To Alex's surprise, the bear seemed to be heading straight for the tree.

The bear stopped beneath the inscription and looked up at it, as if reading the words. Then, in a movement that seemed almost human, it reached out a massive paw and touched the carving. Suddenly, the tree began to glow softly, and the air around them filled with a sweet, floral scent.
