Version 0.5.7 brought a new kind of dread to the outskirts. The checkpoints were abandoned, not by retreat, but by erasure. You grip your sickle and your pistol, moving through the low-poly fog. Every corner turned is a gamble against a horse wearing a gas mask or a hooded figure wielding a chainsaw.

As you descend deeper into the latest sectors, the brown fog thickens. You aren't just fighting to save the state anymore—you're fighting because, in this rusted-out wasteland, pulling the trigger is the only thing that proves you're still breathing.

You are a soldier of the socialist republic, but the republic has gone quiet, replaced by the rhythmic clanking of rusted machinery and the wet slaps of things that shouldn't be walking.
