Kıvırcık Ali was born in 1968 in the Turhal district of Tokat. He was the youngest of nine children and was born 37 days after his father died in a tractor accident. His stage name, "Kıvırcık" (Curly), came from his distinctive curly hair. He tragically passed away in a car accident in 2011 on a road known as the "death curve" while heading to a television program.

The song is a dialogue with his mother ( anam ), expressing a deep longing for the simple joys of village life that have been lost:
