Choose your font, size, and color. For a "solid," professional look, many users increase the font size or use bold styles for critical path items.

In the dropdown, select the category you want to modify (e.g., "All" for every task, or "Summary Tasks" for headers).

If you need to store custom information that doesn't fit into standard columns (like "Department" or "Notes"), Microsoft Project 2019 provides 30 built-in (Text1 through Text30).

: You can rename these fields, create dropdown lists (Lookups), or use formulas to automate text entry.

To ensure your text appears "solid" and consistent throughout your project plan, you should use the feature rather than formatting individual cells. This applies global changes to specific categories (like all Summary Tasks or all Critical Tasks).

Navigate to the tab (or Format tab depending on your view). Click Text Styles in the Format group.
