Elias looked up. The corners of his bedroom were no longer ninety degrees. The walls were leaning inward, the wallpaper stretching and tearing with the sound of wet paper. The door to his hallway was gone, replaced by a flat, seamless expanse of drywall.
The monitor’s glow shifted from blue to a bruised purple. Elias felt a cold draft on the back of his neck. He realized with a jolt of terror that the file hadn't been "empty" because it contained nothing.
